As a tech enthusiast, Alvin started a personal tech blog in 2018. A year later, he began his professional writing career, working as a contributor for Kenyan-based TechTrendsKE and Tech Arena, writing news, features, how-to guides, and reviews in the consumer tech space. He joined MakeUseOf in 2021, where he covers topics such as Android, iOS, laptops, PCs, software, and other areas of consumer tech. His writing has also appeared in XDA Developers and BGR.

Education

Alvin obtained a bachelor's degree in analytical chemistry and later pursued a bachelor's degree in information technology at Kenyatta University.
