Apple Products, Tech Industry News, Autos & Transportation
- Corazon Victorino has five years of experience covering tech industry conventions, Apple and Samsung launch events, and car rumors and releases.
- Her bylines have appeared in several global editions of the International Business Times brand, Newsweek, and official press sites of different automakers, including Hyundai. Her industry news reports have also been translated for the Chinese market via Business Times China.
- One of Corazon's career highlights is providing live written news coverage of the 2017, 2018, and 2019 editions of CES and MWC. She was among the first to follow and report on LG's once-promising robot business and the smartphone industry's would-be obsession with multiple-lens cameras.
Experience
After taking a two-year break from her 9-to-5 job as a medical technologist to focus on her growing family, Corazon tried her hand at freelancing online, only to snag a job as a trending news reporter for Jobs & Hire. The 8-month stint taught her everything she needed to know about online news writing and made her realize her passion for the technology industry. Her big move to then-Newsweek subsidiary IBT Media in 2016 opened doors for her to really improve her craft and have a better understanding of the different tech niches. Aside from producing gadget reviews and event coverage reports, Corazon learned to scour the internet for hidden industry data and conduct interviews for her tech insider stories at IBT. She joined SlashGear in 2024 to write news about cars, EVs, smartphones, and many other technology stories.
SlashGear's content hails from a group of experienced technology and automotive editors and a wide-ranging team of writers, engineers, enthusiasts, and experts across consumer tech and transportation.
