LaCie Little Big Disk 200GB

LaCie has launched its new mobile hard drive, called LaCie’s Little Big Disk. You can store a whooping 200GB in this pocket sized disc. This chunky, metal-cased LBD (Little Big Disk) contains two 2.5in, 7,200rpm hard disks to provide its 200GB storage capacity. Apart from look, LaCie also includes a free back-up application with the drive, 1-Click Backup, in both Windows and Mac OS X forms. On G5’s two Firewire 800 ports, the LBD shows a transfer rate of 28.52MBps. LaCie’s LBD is made for those who want to carry their huge data in a handy disk.

Fujitsu P1510D with portability and usability

Looking for portability? The Fujitsu P1510D is the perfect example of portability and usability. If partnership between Direct TV and Microsoft works out you’ll soon be viewing Direct TV on your XBOX 360. It is expected that instead of adding Direct TV directly, a new blade will be added to XBOX 360 which will accompany XBOX Live, games, media, and system blade. Once the blade is included, you will be able to download TV episode, HD movies and standard definition streaming DVR on Hard Disk. Official XBOX Magazine says, it is a rumor, but if it is true then XBOX 360 will get an edge over its rival, PS3.

It lacks EDGE or GPRS technology in it, but definitely this piece is really sexy.

Kodak Causes Price Stir

The market for digicams is flooded with cameras with all the features one can imagine. The low-end camera segment has been well controlled by Kodak. This is evident from the latest batch of cameras to be rolled out. Priced under $300 all these cameras will have the minimum specifications for sumptuous photography. First in the list is the EasyShare C533, a 5 megapixel camera with a tiny 1.8-inch LCD and 3x optical zoom whcich is priced at $199. The next on is at $249. The EasyShare C643 has 6 megapixel imager and 2.4-inch LCD with a 3x zoom. The undelete function of both of these comes handy for those who by mistake might delete a good shot. There are the V603 (pictured) also 6 megapixels, with a 2.5-inch LCD and VGA movie mode and Z612 both priced at $299. way to go for Kodak.

The Optio W10 from Pentax

Pentax is back in action with the new 6-megapixel Optio W10. This latest waterproof camera has a 3x zoom lens and a 2.5 inch LCD viewfinder. The Face Recognition automatic focus, claims the company, can detect the face and optimizes the settings to its specifications. The camera also has movie capture capability of 640×480 30fps and anti-shake switch which can be switched on for the perfect click. The camera can work underwater till a depth of 4.5 feet for half an hour. The camera is claimed to be dustproof but its handling would be easy with a half second switching-on time. Sounds ideal for outdoor sports photography.

TORQ P120 smartphone

TORQ P120 is a Windows Mobile 5.0 OS based smartphone with Quad Band GSM and  full functionalities of a PDA. TORQ comes in two cover either silver or black. It provides you with color display of 65,536 colors on screen of 240x 320 pixels. This phone includes Samsung 400 Mhz processor, 128 MB of ROM , 64 MB of RAM, SD / MMC card slot,1.3 Megapixel Camera with LED Flash, WiFi 802.11b and Bluetooth connectivity. The TORQ P120 comes with a  rechargable 1440 mAh Lithium Ion battery This phone will definitely give you a nice look of old-time Palm V.  

T-Mobile to launch HSDPA in Europe

T-Mobile Internatioinal, on 15th Feb. announced that customers of T-Mobile in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands will avail a faster mobile internet access, starting form this month. HSPDA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) will be available for user of all three markets. According to Chief Technology Officer, Hamid Hakvana, user will be able to avail a speed of 1.8Mbps in starting and from next year speed will achieve speed between 3.6 and 7.2Mbps, which will be competing with fixed-lined DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) technology. Initially HSPDA card will be available for user for their notebooks, and in third quarter of this year T-mobile will change its HSPDA service in lieu with automatic connectivity and after that users will be able to use this service in their mobile (with 3G technology).

Sony DRX-810UL

Sony’s new external DVD DRX-810 drive, almost identical to its predecessor, the Sony DRX800UL, comes with a silver design and mirrored panel on front which gives it a real touch. DRX comes with a plastic holder with which you will be able to position it flat or upright, without taking too much of your desk space. Also you can turn on its vibration feature, audible in upright position, which makes it cool.  You will be able to connect it to PC and notebook via USB or Fireware. DRX allows writing speed of 16x (21.6MB/s) for single layer DVD, 8x(10.8) for dual layer DVDs (8.5 GB), 6x (8.1MB/s) for DVD-RW, 48x  for CD-R and  32x for CD-RW, with help of bundled Nero package includes Nero Burning Rom, Vision Express and Showtime. If your PC has space, then it can be fixed inside, which is cheaper then its external version. It is priced between $121- $195. Disappointing thing is, it lacks support for Labelflash or Lightscribe label burning and DVD-Ram media of any description.
