- Charlie has been working with cars ever since leaving education — whether working on them, selling them, or writing about them.
- He's currently building an MGB GT Sebring replica in his spare time — four years and counting.
- Since pursuing a career as a freelance automotive writer, Charlie has developed an appreciation for a wide range of makes and models, with a growing interest in classic American and retro Japanese cars in particular.
Experience
Charlie's obsession with the automotive world goes back as far as he can remember — racing Hot Wheels cars around the perimeter of every room in the house. As he grew up, he began working on his own cars and knew that a career centered around them had to be built somehow. He initially began selling cars — both for himself, for independent dealers, and for main dealer brands — before deciding to marry his two interests: cars and writing. These days, writing about all things automotive continues to fuel Charlie's passion and appreciation for anything with four wheels, and he looks forward to continuing along this path with the SlashGear team.
