- A wanderer by trade, Stephen is fascinated by frontiers, whether physical or technological, and loves using machines and gadgets to go farther or see further.
- He is happiest while 3D printing something cool, stargazing through his telescopes, modifying a vehicle for over-landing or the track, scuba diving, or continuing to pursue his pilots license.
- His career has included writing for a wide variety of topics, swerving recklessly into lanes such as motorcycle culture, off-road motorsports, aviation, history, finance, energy, and defense.
Experience
When not regaling his two awesome sons with tales and wisdom from a previous age of the world, Stephen can be found somewhere on this small globe of ours, from Reykjavik to Oaxaca, travelling roads less taken with his beautiful wife by his side. Along the way, he collects stories relating to anything motorized, digitized, energized, mythologized, or weaponized, and loves relating what he discovers, especially if it gets a laugh or changes an outlook. He has worked with brands such as USAToday, CarGurus, Southern Off Road, LiveStrong, Nuclear Decommissioning Report, NFNews, CopyPress, DealerOn and more. He believes that getting off the couch and behind the wheel is a great first step to the next unbelievable tale.
Education
After studying anthropology at Texas Tech University, and communications at The Université de Bourgogne, Stephen attained a bachelor's degree from the School of Behavioral Science and Mathematics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
