  • Cherise currently serves as the Vice President of Membership for the Midwest Automotive Media Association and helps organize the group's events, most notably the annual Spring Rally at Road America.
  • As a mother to a three-year-old, she's developed a new appreciation for modern cars' active safety features.
  • Her vehicle fleet includes two Subarus (WRX and Outback), three motorcycles (two Hondas and a Genuine Buddy scooter), and a boat (Boston Whaler Montauk).


During her two decades as an automotive writer and editor, Cherise has accumulated a body of work that includes new car reviews, auto show and event coverage, car-buying advice, and features. She has written for The Chicago Tribune, U.S. News & World Report, HowStuffWorks, CarGurus, Carfax, and Hagerty. In a previous lifetime, Cherise worked as a model builder at LEGO's North American headquarters.


Cherise earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Saint Michael's College in Vermont, where she spent her free time with the Green Mountain State's thriving Volkswagen community.
