Nintendo Switch Monster Hunter XX edition release revealed

The news that the Monster Hunter series will be coming to the Nintendo Switch was big enough on its own, but it doesn't stop there. To celebrate the launch of Monster Hunter XX, Nintendo will be releasing a limited edition console. If we're not counting stuff like the Breath of the Wild decals Nintendo previously released, then this will be the first limited edition Switch console Nintendo has launched.

In Monster Hunter XX, Nintendo Switch gets the Capcom title it deserves

Capcom has already thrown some support behind the Nintendo Switch in releasing Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers (out today, as luck would have it), but it just ramped up support for the console in a big way. Capcom is really taking retro to heart. After it released the Mega Man Classic collection for PC and consoles, it brought it to mobile, though with less positive reception. Capcom names four arcade classics coming to mobile

Seeing the chance to introduce a new, younger generation of gamers to the golden age of the classics, not to mention capitalize on older gamers trying to relive their glory days, game publishers are pushing these older games to mobile, with mixed results. Square Enix has ported most of its Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest titles to mobile which is still positively received despite the price tag. Capcom just recently put out its Mega Man Mobile collection with lower prices and lower ratings. Unfazed, Capcom is going to try again, giving four old-school arcade games the same treatment as Mega Man.
