Apple has finally rolled out the its refresh of its MacBook Pro with Retina Display line. The slightly revamped specs match what was leaked from China yesterday, with the absence of a new super-powered model. This time, however, we also get to see what has changed with the 13-inch models as well.
Over the weekend several HTC One units from the previous generation have been updated to Sense 6.0. This means that they’ll have the same - or rather similar - software to that of the HTC One (M8). This update does not include (of course) some of the camera features included with the HTC One (M8) as this device (the M7) does not have the same hardware as its replacement.
This month the HTC One family will be upgraded to HTC’s own Sense 6.0. This is a software suite that will upgrade what you see and how you interact with your smartphone on a day-to-day basis. Unless you’re working with an HTC One (M8) or a hacked, ROM’ed device today, you’ll likely still be on a version of Sense that’s pre-6.0.
Hennessey has been in the business of modifying sports cars and gaining even more performance out of them for over 20 years, and their latest project is the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 (also known as the Corvette Stingray). For those of you who are currently subscribed to Comcast's Performance Xfinity Internet speed plans, you're in for a treat. Comcast has decided to upgrade your data speeds at no added cost. Your download speeds will be increased from 15Mbps to 25Mbps, and your upload speeds will be increased from 2Mbps to 5Mbps. Comcast is upgrading its data speeds because it knows that there is a growing trend of consumers using more than one wireless device in their homes to access the internet.

When Microsoft announced that they would be getting rid of Windows Media Center and all of its codecs for DVD playback and broadcast television in Windows 8, many home theater PC fanatics were effectively disappointed and probably really aggravated. However, it looks like the company is offering anyone who has Windows 8 Pro a free upgrade to Media Center until the end of January.

Back when Microsoft released the Windows 7 RC builds, there wasn't anyway to upgrade to a final retail copy of the OS without performing a complete system wipe or using a hack. The same won’t be true with Windows 8, however, with Microsoft serving up an FAQ list that indicates users will be able to upgrade from the Release Preview to the final release. Anyone wishing to upgrade will be able to buy a license for $39.99 and upgrade accordingly.
Microsoft has revealed to select partners the details on upgrading to Windows 8 from older Windows releases. There are some limitations as to which of the latest Windows 8 versions older generation Windows releases can upgrade to and whether those upgrades will be able to retain personal data and system settings.
