We're closing in on the end of October, which means the list of free PlayStation Plus games for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita will soon be refreshing. Sony revealed a grand total of six new PlayStation Plus titles today, with those becoming free on November 1. Though there are only two games being offered for each console, both of the PS Vita titles have some level of cross-buy compatibility with PS3 and PS4.

Bad news for PlayStation gamers in the UK today: the subscription prices for two of the PlayStation Plus plans are increasing next month. The one-month option is rising from £5.49 to £5.99, and the three-month plan is going from £11.99 to £14.99. The silver lining in all of this? The price for the one-year subscription is staying the same, at £39.99. This last option was already the best value, now it will be even more so.

This week the folks at Sony have revealed the first several games that'll be pushed to the public in their PlayStation Plus users for free. This includes The Swapper and Infamous: First Light for PlayStation 4. It also includes Prototype 2 and Duck Tales Remastered for PlayStation 3. PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) users will be treated to Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition as well as the game "Whoa Dave!" This should be a smooth first at-bat for the PlayStation Plus program for the start of the year 2015.

At the start of April, the folks at Tribute Games are set to deliver the cartoon-flavored violence-filled game known as Mercenary Kings to PlayStation 4. This title has been out on Steam for a short bit of time, and will be rolling out to the PlayStation Store starting on the 1st of April - no fooling! This title mixes firepower with side-scrolling classic gameplay in a pixel-filled cartoon-inspired landscape that’ll likely take command of the PlayStation’s download-only section for some time to come.
