JVC has introduced a new projector capitalizing on consumer desire for 4K products. Called the LX-UH1, this new projector is said to offer 4K Ultra HD content with a contrast ratio hitting 100,000:1 and 2,000 lumens. The model, which is definitely toward the upward limit for most consumer budgets, is set to launch in May, officially giving us an alternative to BenQ's new 4K projector model.
Google Assistant is everywhere at CES 2018, including inside cars. Google has announced that its AI-powered personal assistant is now available on the automobile incarnation of Android. This has encouraged partners, particularly multimedia receiver makers like JVC KENWOOD to wholeheartedly embrace Android Auto in their lineup this year. Especially since Android Auto now also supports a much awaited feature: wireless connection with smartphones.
JVC has taken the wraps off a pair of new rugged camcorder product lines, the JVC GZ-R550 and the GZ-R440. The two lineups bring with them a total of three camcorder models, the GZ-R440B, GZ-R440D, and the GZ-R550B. These camcorders are designed for outdoor environments, ones where there's a good chance of rain or bodies of water, wild temperatures, and accidental drops.

JVC has rolled out a pair of new camcorders called the GZ-R450 and the GZ-R320. The two products share some of the same features including water resistance, drop resistance, and the ability to survive cold weather.

When one hears of cameras, especially digital ones, we usually think of a single slab or contraption that we can take along with us for a ride. The new JVC GW-SP100E 4KCAM, however, is anything but portable. Or rather it is, at least in some ways. Instead of a single camera body, this is actually a full system, composed of a remote camera head, its own separate recording and playback unit, and a remote control to, well, control it all from a safe distance.

The folks at JVC have revealed an imposingly simple looking line of televisions this week intent on making the world understand that they're clear on consumer wishes for an absolute lack of bezel. The hero in this line is an LED-LCD TV with a 47-inch display ringing in at 1080p with Edge-lit technology. This machine is also internet ready with streaming services aplenty.
JVC is getting in on the sports camera action, joining GoPro and Contour with the JVC GC-XA2 ADIXXION, a ridiculously named, ruggedized Full HD camera intended for extreme sports. The chunky little shooter can film at up to 1080 60p/50p - or 720p at up to 120fps for slow-motion use - and packs WiFi and and an integrated LCD display.
