Boxed video games are getting “in-game purchase” warning stickers

Boxed video games are getting “in-game purchase” warning stickers

Lootboxes and in-game purchases have become a sad reality in modern video games. What was once merely the domain of free-to-play games on mobile, these in-game purchases have made their way into full priced, triple-A titles as a way for publishers to make more money from the games they put out. Super Mario Odyssey DLC adds Luigi, outfits, filters

Nintendo may have once been chided for being slow to move, but now it’s doing things right on schedule. As promised last month, one of the platform’s most successful games is getting an update today. Yes, Luigi makes an appearance but really only that, an appearance. Luigi’s Balloon World has arrived and while it does offer something to do after you’ve finished the main game, it’s going to be more of a way to past the time rather than an engrossing new piece of content. Then again, it’s a small-ish update that you’re getting for free.

The PlayStation Network mistakenly published details about the next DLC, titled “Gods of Mars” and the expansion will finally add a new enemy faction to the game.

Street Fighter V Arcade Edition adds 2nd V-Trigger set

Of course, there are still some ways to extend the game’s content, like adding new characters and adding new moves. That is basically what CAPCOM is doing in the Arcade Edition, set to launch in two months, that will add, in addition to the arcade mode, new V-Triggers for all characters.
