This week we're taking a peek at the latest for the Viking beast of a game Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The game's next major update comes in the form of a DLC called The Siege of Paris. We're going back to Paris, just like when we were here with Assassin's Creed Unity all the way back in late 2014. Now we get to see how the scale of that monster lines up with this newest reveal - and to find the one-handed swords Durendal Sword, Ring-Sword, Engbert Sword, and the Joyeuse Sword!

NetherRealm Studios closes the book on Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 released a little more than two years ago, and in the time since then, we've seen a fair amount of extra content launch for the title. We've seen two Kombat Packs - adding nine fighters between them - along with an expansion called Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, which added another three fighters on top of new story content. While many fans were hoping that we'd see a third Kombat Pack with more fighters from the series' past, it looks like that's not going to happen.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Isle of Armor Review: A fun, but short, addition

Pokemon Sword and Shield Isle of Armor Review: A fun, but short, addition

If anything, it should be clear by now that Pokemon Sword and Shield represent some big departures for the series in general. For starters, they’re the first main-series games on a home console. Then we had the whole Pokedex controversy and the fact that a significant number of Pokemon were culled - the first time in the series that has happened. Now, for the first time ever, we have DLC, which seems to be taking the place of the “enhanced edition” we’d typically see release after paired games (à la Pokemon Yellow after Pokemon Red and Blue or Pokemon Platinum after Diamond and Pearl).

Minecraft Dungeons Jungle DLC released at same time as free update

Minecraft Dungeons Jungle DLC released at same time as free update

If you've been playing Minecraft Dungeons since launch, you've been playing a little over a month. If you've been playing that long, you might be ready for a DLC already. But for the rest of the world - the people that've not yet gotten in on the action - is it too intimidating to start a game that's already rolling with an expansion just a month after initial release? In any case, the goal for the profit-minded creators at Minecraft is clear.

Be careful when buying Pokemon Sword and Shield’s expansion pass

Be careful when buying Pokemon Sword and Shield’s expansion pass

Yesterday, the first expansion in the Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion pass launched. The Isle of Armor promises a slate of new Pokemon, a new region to explore, and even new clothes to wear, and while many probably pre-ordered the expansion pass, those who haven't already paid for it should proceed with caution. As it turns out, it's possible to buy the wrong version of the DLC, and if you do that, you're essentially flushing $30 down the drain.
