Microsoft has discontinued the original Xbox One model, leaving new buyers to choose between either the more powerful Xbox One X or the slimmer Xbox One S. The move isn't surprising, and if you were keen on getting ahold of the original model, you still have an option: refurbished. A 500GB refurbished model is still listed as available online via the Microsoft Store for $199 USD.

Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition back in stock (for now)

The Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition was made available and quickly disappeared all in one day earlier this week. Today the console has (once again) been made available through official means, for its original price. That means no 3rd-party flipper pricing for those that hit the button quick enough - if this ever-so-slightly different edition is the Xbox One X they want.

Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition just sold out

This weekend Microsoft revealed the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition, and it's just sold out. It's not like the Minecraft Xbox One S, which has a full printed covering - this is more of a "just for the collectors" sort of deal.

Xbox One X Enhanced games: here’s the starting list

At this year's Gamescom, Microsoft opened the doors just a wee bit for the Xbox One X, specifically with preorders for the very limited Scorpio Edition. The first question to cross anyone’s mind, save perhaps for the staunchest Xbox supporter, is “why bother?”. Microsoft’s answer is in the Xbox One X’s “enhanced experience” made possible by improvements to the hardware as well as developers’ access to such hardware. Such enhancements, however, can only really be experienced through these enhanced titles that Microsoft has just revealed.

It was great to not have to wait for a release date, but Microsoft left out an important detail: It didn't tell when we'd be able to pre-order.

E3 2017 is arguably the biggest expo Microsoft has had in years, thanks to the official reveal of the Xbox One X.
