The app is called Insects, and its intention is to show what the Xbox One X is really capable of at its best. What we're dealing with here is an app originally intended only for Microsoft's use in showing developers the ins and outs of the Xbox One. Microsoft decided to tweak the app in order to release it publicly for Xbox One X owners to experience the full HDR10 and 4K Ultra HD power of the console just in case they didn't already have a game that did so.
