In just a few weeks, the gaming world will be welcoming the first new consoles from Microsoft and Sony to come in a long, long time. And with new consoles naturally come launch titles, some of which aren't exclusive to these new consoles. While you may be able to buy copies of new games for the current-gen Xbox One and PS4, you will not be able to enjoy the games at their best. At least that is what Ubisoft is implying by laying out what features of its new games you'll be able to enjoy only on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. announced on the 15th of October that they'd be moving Digimon Survive to 2021. This game was originally expected to be released inside the fourth quarter of 2020, but circumstances dictated that the company needed to give the game more time in development before it was ready to prime time. The newly released PlayStation 4 version 8.00 software update rolled out to console owners today, adding a number of new features while taking away a couple of minor ones. Not mentioned in Sony's update announcement, however, was a new notification that has caught players off guard and raised concerns about privacy -- one pointing out that voice party conversations may be recorded and the audio may be made available to Sony moderators for review.

This morning Mortal Kombat got its first title for the next generation consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The game isn't strictly new - it's called Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, "a new expanded version of Mortal Kombat 11." Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate includes the base game Mortal Kombat 11, Kombat Pack 1, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Expansion, and the new Kombat Pack 2.

As if it needed even more negative attention, Sony's PlayStation 5 might end up ruffling the feathers of a certain intersection of PS5 owners and Spider-Man's fans. Marvel's Spider-Man for the PS4 has garnered mostly positive reviews and fans are looking forward to the Spider-Man: Miles Morales launch for both PlayStation generations. While it will, of course, be possible to play the PS4 versions of these two games on the PS5, gamers might have to pay extra depending on what they're buying or have already bought.

Android has both DOOM and DOOM II with a set of features that make their first launches look pathetic. The folks at Bethesda responsible for upkeep on the games made the effort to make their most legendary games look and feel fantastic on the mobile platform. They both originally launched in July of 2019, but only NOW can you play the lot with a 120 frames per second image refresh rate!

The original HITMAN game will be free to keep for all users of the Epic Games Store as of August 27th. That's just so long as you claim the game (with the tap of a button) before September 3, 2020. Hitman 3 will also be released very soon... as an Epic Games Store exclusive. That means it won't be available to purchase or download anywhere else*, for the foreseeable future.
