New Mutants may be Deadpool’s 2nd fabulous film

Sources suggest that FOX will move forward with "The New Mutants," expanding their film control of the X-Men franchise. The comic book series "The New Mutants" provided the first stomping grounds for the monster known as Deadpool, appearing in the comic series back in its 98th issue of its first run back in 1991. The New Mutants film has not yet begun filming, and no actors have yet been confirmed. The director of this film, on the other hand, is one of the first people to step forward into the spotlight.

Tom Hardy wants to play Marvel’s ‘The Punisher’

It's no secret that some actors have pushed to take on the roles of iconic superheroes (and super villains), and now Tom Hardy can be counted among them. He has had many notable roles in popular movies over the years, and now he's pining for his own slot in the Marvel universe -- he will take just about anything he can get (within reason), it seems, but he is particularly interested in the role of "The Punisher", the anti-hero who brings about his own sense of justice to the streets.

Marvel short videos to be developed by Maker Studios

Long form video is the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of visual entertainment, but the Internet is packed full of short-form videos, and they provide seemingly endless snippets of amusement for a wide array of preferences. It isn't surprising, then, that many studios have cropped up that specialize solely in short-form videos, the kind you're likely to find on YouTube and Vimeo, and one such studio is Maker Studios. In a recent announcement, the company revealed it will be making some Marvel content.

Marvel’s Daredevil renewed for second season on Netflix

Marvel’s Daredevil series recently launched on Netflix after a long while spent waiting, and despite a bit of a hiccup for some viewers, it has managed to find favor with the streaming service’s subscribers. That success has spurred Netflix into ordering a second season, it has been announced, which will be released sometime in 2016 (early in the year, likely). There’s a slight switch up with the producers that’ll be taking place, but otherwise it will continue on with this season’s cast.

“Reimagined” Fantasic Four trailer goes dimension-hopping

The comic book world is known, in fact notorious, for its reboots and retcons, and revisions, sometimes not exactly coherent. And it seems that the trait has bled into their big screen adaptations as well. Fantastic Four will be screening less than four months after Avengeers: Age of Ultron, but 20th Century Fox wants viewers to know that FF will be just as a big a thing. Except, it won't be your regular Fantastic Four thing. Well, the Thing is there and the rest of the cast, but things will be slightly different.

The premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron is growing near, and ahead of its arrival we're seeing more clips and sneak-peaks of the movie surface. It was only a couple days ago when we saw an actual clip from the movie, and now another has been revealed, this time being posted on Marvel's own YouTube account. Marvel’s Ant-Man: new trailer gives bigger look at tiny hero

Ant-Man, despite its brief moment of rockiness, is an official movie Marvel has in the pipeline, and it is far enough along we've finally been graced with trailers. With the start of January, Marvel teased the movie using tiny video clips intended for, you know, ants. About a week later, Marvel released the upscaled regular human-sized version of that trailer, which gave us a nearly two minute look at the film and what all it offers. Now Marvel is back with an even longer trailer, and it shows so much more.

Avengers: Age of Ultron clip hints why Hulk smash Iron Man

If you thought the revelation of The Vision would be the last we'd see of teasers for Avengers: Age of Ultron, better think again. We still have a week or two (depending on where you live) so there's still plenty of room for teasers and potential spoilers. While this latest snippet isn't exactly an official trailer, it was shown in public at the recent MTV Music Awards for everyone to gawk at and chew on. It does contain potential spoilers about the until now unexplained confrontation between Hulk and Iron Man's Hulkbuster Armor, so be warned.

The Vision FINALLY revealed in Avengers: Age of Ultron poster

The final piece of the Ultron puzzle is finally here. Well, somewhat. Much is still unknown about him (or it), but Marvel has finally given the android Vision his very own poster and his proper place in the Avengers photo op. With this, the chessboard is set and ready for what is expected to be one of the biggest blockbusters this month. But given how Joss Whedon, with the blessing of Marvel of course, has tweaked the story a bit, Vision's origin story and eventual role in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
