This new iOS 13 update is obsessed with iPhone speed and app size. It's largely about improving not only the newest iPhones, but the devices that've been out in the wild for weeks or months already. And there's that whole Dark Mode thing, too – the darkness has arrived at last!

Users will find that Apple Arcade may already be active – as it was active early for some iOS 13 beta testers back on September 16. A new version of iOS – the equivalent of iOS 13 for iPad – will be available on September 24*. This is the same software that's active in the new iPad 10.2 we saw back on September 10.

*UPDATE: The first release of iPadOS was scheduled to begin on September 30, but today was re-scheduled for September 24, 2019. Read more about reasons for the bump if you do so desire.
