Samsung Electronics has announced its full lineup of 2021 high-resolution monitors. The electronics maker promises that the new line delivers life-like image quality, improved convenience, and ergonomic designs. The monitors are aimed at use both at home and in the office.
Samsung made a number of announcements during its Unbox & Discover event today, and a few of those announcements were related to gaming. Specifically, Samsung says that it will update some of its TVs to offer gaming features that are traditionally only available in PC monitors. Speaking of PC monitors, Samsung has also updated its curved Odyssey G9 gaming monitor for 2021.

The Acer Predator gaming monitor lineup expanded this week with some eye-safe features and super-smooth visuals. The Predator XB273U NX works with a 27-inch WQHD panel with 275Hz refresh rate (overclocked), and NVIDIA G-Sync, while the Predator XB323QK NV sports a 31.5-inch NVIDIA G-Sync compatible panel with 144Hz image refresh rate. Apple has quietly released its Pro Display XDR Calibrator App, a software tool for its Retina 6K display for those who want to do in-field recalibration of its color settings. The free app lands alongside the release of Display Firmware 4.2.30, and builds on previous versions that increased the amount of calibration tweaking that owners can do.
Apple's new generation of M1-powered Macs has definitely been the hot thing in computing these past weeks. They have been proving Apple's claims of performance, giving Intel a lot to worry about. The one drawback to these new Mac minis and MacBooks is that they support one less external monitor than their Intel predecessors, at least on paper. It turns out that they can actually support twice as many but you will have to get some accessories and install some software to make it happen.
