Royale FlexPai 2 is the affordable foldable you can’t get

While Samsung largely dominates the foldable phone market, with Huawei now taking a backseat and Motorola's Razr successor nowhere yet in sight, it can't really claim to have been the first. That title belongs to Chinese OEM Royale whose FlexPai was quickly pushed to the background after a few months in the limelight. With the FlexPai 2, it's trying to reclaim some of that prestige through a pricing game that, unfortunately, may not matter that much to markets outside of China.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Exynos, Snapdragon models still have performance gaps

Samsung may have one of the most powerful Android phones in the market today but it also has some of the most expensive. There are definitely other options around with almost the same raw power, or even better, but some might argue that you are getting what you pay for. That might not actually be the case for Samsung's flagships, which may have different processors inside and even a different cooling system. And while the prices might be the same, JerryRigEverything's test shows the performance definitely isn't.

The FCC did the math on ousting Huawei and ZTE from US carriers. Spoiler – it’s a LOT

The FCC has done the math on just how much it might cost to remove Huawei and ZTE equipment and services from US carriers, and it's bad news if you thought it might be as simple and cheap as unplugging a few routers and switches. Last year, the FCC warned carriers getting government funding that they would no longer be able to order network tech from the two Chinese companies.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series to get 5G capability next year

Qualcomm may have the lion's share of the smartphone processor market but there is still one segment that it doesn't have a firm grasp on. On the lower and budget tiers, MediaTek's processors are often the go-to solutions, often because of their affordability rather than their features. With MediaTek aggressively pushing its 5G-capable Dimensity processors on high and middle tiers, Qualcomm is now trying to hit where it hurts by promising a 5G Snapdragon 400 series chip next year.
