Tinder is banning everyone under 18 from its service

In a bid to act more responsibly, Tinder is doing away with its 13-and-up age policy, banning everyone under the age of 18 from its service. The change will be taking effect some time next week, and all things told, it won’t affect many users — only about 3-percent of Tinder users are minors. This news comes shortly after Tinder announced plans to adjust profiles in such a way to make the service more friendly to transgender users.

Tinder wants you to play matchmaker with new share button

I think that as humans, we have a natural desire to play matchmaker. Back in school, people were constantly setting their friends up with the "perfect" match. Through adulthood I've still seen that happen, though to a somewhat lesser degree. Well, Tinder seems to be one of the more popular ways to find a date, and they want to help you in your quest to find a perfect match for your friends. Or at least find them someone that they'll want to swipe right on.

Tinder follows Twitter meltdown with new CEO

This week Tinder was in the news for its epic meltdown, which took place on Twitter in tweet form following a piece about the company in Vanity Fair. The company has left that news behind, though, admitting that it shouldn't have happened and then quickly shifting focus: the company has given CEO Chris Payne the boot, and will be replacing him with former CEO and co-founder Sean Rad. The reason is said to revolve around Payne not being a good fit for the company, something Payne is said to agree with.
