Pokemon Direct confirmed for this week: Pokemon Home details incoming?

Pokemon fans will want to mark their calendars, because Nintendo has announced a new Pokemon Direct livestream. As always, the content of this livestream is being kept under wraps, but we can take a few guesses about what kind of news it'll cover. Super Mario Party is one of Switch’s biggest missed opportunities

Super Mario Party is one of Switch’s biggest missed opportunities

A little over a year ago, Nintendo released Super Mario Party for the Switch. Like many of Nintendo’s franchises, Mario Party is one that’s been running for decades, so bringing the franchise to the Switch was a no-brainer. After a few years of experimentation with the Mario Party series that - in my opinion at least - mostly missed the mark, Super Mario Party was something of a return to form. As someone who has been playing since the very first game in the series, that was an exciting thing to see.

Untitled Goose Game finds honking big success

Untitled Goose Game finds honking big success

There was no lack of notable games released in 2019, but one that really got people talking was Untitled Goose Game. The indie title, made by developer House House, put players in the role of the titular (untitular?) goose and tasked them with disrupting the residents of a small town by mostly being a jerk. Untitled Goose Game definitely had plenty of meme potential, but now it's clear that the concept of playing a mischievous goose is one that had legs too.

After the abysmal failure that was the Wii U, Nintendo bounced back with the Switch and now it seems unstoppable.
