When first announced earlier this summer, the item was expected to reach $1 million or more, but it ended up selling for $815,000, with 10% of the proceeds being donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The reason this Apple-1 model is so unique is because it's a hand-built pre-production version, which was never to sold to customers.

Corresponding with the Pebble Beach rare and exotic car show this weekend, the Sotheby's auction house fetched not one but two record-setting prices for British and American cars. The vehicles were a 1955 Jaguar D-Type that won the historic Le Mans race in 1956, and the very first Shelby Cobra, made in 1962, which was owned by founder Carroll Shelby until his death in 2012.

No, it doesn't have 500GB of storage or 5G network compatibility, but it was personally designed by Jony Ive, Apple's senior head of design. The item is being sold as part of a charity effort to benefit the London Design Museum. Perhaps they noticed that one of their biggest competitors, Amazon, is still around. Frankie Muniz, the actor you may remember from the once popular sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, has finally decided to part ways with the 1995 Volkswagen Jetta you see pictured here. What's so significant about this 20-year old sedan, other than looking ridiculous by today's standards, you may ask? The images you see here of an old Dodge may appear to be of a car left to rust and waste away in the countryside until it becomes worthless, and that's exactly what it is. Almost. This vehicle was discovered in an old barn in Wisconsin, to be specific, and while the rusting and wasting away part is correct, even after all that it's still valued at roughly $180,000. That's because it's a 1969 Dodge Daytona, a very iconic American muscle car, of which only 503 were ever built.
