As literally the most profitable media franchise on the face of the Earth, it should never be particularly surprising to see new Pokémon-branded merchandise cropping up here and there. While it's not strange for Pokémon to take many forms, though, it can show up in surprising places. For example, based on recent social media posts, Costco has begun selling a full-scale Pokémon-themed pinball machine for a $4,999.99 price tag.

To clarify, this isn't one of those tiny desktop pinball machines for kids; this is a professional-grade pinball table developed by Stern Pinball, one of the largest, oldest manufacturers of arcade-grade pinball machines in the world, including some based on classic cars. As such, this table has all the bells and whistles you'd expect to see at your local arcade, including lights, sound, a score display, and various molded plastic miniatures, all cast in the shape of classic Pokémon iconography like Pikachu and Team Rocket's Meowth-shaped hot air balloon. The table takes players across various biomes in the Pokémon world, catching and training Pokémon, challenging Gym leaders, and battling against Team Rocket.

The table appears to be selling for $4,999.99

The Stern Pokémon pinball table was actually released back in February 2026, coming in three different models: the basic Pro model, the Premium Edition, which includes custom voice acting for Pikachu and Team Rocket leader Giovanni, and the Limited Edition, which includes a speaker expression lighting system. These three tables typically retail for $6,999, $9,699, and $12,999 respectively, and are only available to purchase through licensed pinball table dealers.

However, based on posts from the unofficial Costco Wonders Facebook page, as well as the r/pinball subreddit, it seems the Pro model has found its way to certain Costco floors with a slightly discounted price tag of $4,999.99. Reddit users speculate that this table is actually a variant of the Pro model that's been stripped down slightly for home play purposes, with one user noting some aspects like the decorative plastic Pokéball and action button having been removed and the display screen being smaller.

The table doesn't appear to have a listing on Costco's website, so it's likely only a regionally-available product. If you're curious, you'd have to visit your local Costco warehouse to know for sure. It's certainly not the strangest thing Costco has ever sold, though, and if you've got $5,000 to burn, it would definitely look striking in a home arcade.
