One week from the Samsung Galaxy S7: Here's what to expect

The Samsung Galaxy S7 will almost certainly be revealed for the first time at Samsung's event during Mobile World Congress 2016. During Samsung's event, the manufacturer will very likely show off not one, but two (at least) smartphones, one a Galaxy S7 with curved edges on its back, the other a Galaxy S7 Edge with curved edges on its front. What follows is all the information you'll want to have before we go in to the event itself. That's comparisons, analysis, and leaked photos, too.

According to our most recent findings, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is going to replicate the more awesome parts of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. This is well within tradition, as each successive phone (S, Note, S, Note) builds upon the last.

The back of the Samsung Galaxy S7 is said to be curved ever-so-slightly, just near the edges on the left and right, much like the Galaxy Note 5.

There's also rumor that the Galaxy S7 will launch with an Upgrade program, making it entirely enticing for previous Samsung device owners to move forward to the company's next big thing.

Above you'll find a gallery of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge images. Many of these images are renderings or dummies – we'll just have to wait and see which turn out to be most accurate to the real deal.

What's most important about this device for Samsung is the reinforcing of the brand – solidifying the form and its related accessories. Once the public believes, so too do the developers, and Samsung gets a boost. Included in this vision is the virtual reality component. That includes Samsung Gear VR.

That also includes a spherical cam the likes of which we've seen (sort of) from brands like Ricoh in the past.
