LEGO Batman Movie game released INSIDE LEGO Dimensions

LEGO Batman Movie game released INSIDE LEGO Dimensions

Welcome to the future of LEGO games - at least for the foreseeable future - as the LEGO Batman Movie heads to LEGO Dimensions. Instead of releasing a whole extra game that'd go on sale now and sell for 3 weeks and sit on store shelves for months thereafter, the LEGO Company might've just gotten smart. Integrating the movie into the LEGO Dimensions universe makes for an awesome impetus to buy the platform and allows the "LEGO Batman Movie Story Pack for LEGO Dimensions" remain a viable purchase for months to come.

The Wii U is officially dead in Japan

We knew it was coming, but today Nintendo made it official: Wii U production has halted in Japan. Questions over the Wii U's fate caused quite a bit of confusion late last year, as reports of the Wii U's demise were initially met with a Nintendo statement that claimed Wii U production would continue. Just a week after that, however, notices that said the Wii U would soon be exiting production began appearing on Nintendo Japan's website.

This is Nintendo’s last Wii U game

This is Nintendo’s last Wii U game

If the writing wasn't already on the wall, it is now: Nintendo has revealed what its final game for the Wii U will be. Given Nintendo's own announcement that it will be ending Wii U production in Japan, the fact that it won't support the console with much more first-party software isn't really a shocker. Still, it's further indication that the end is closing in for the Wii U.

Sony has announced that total PS4 sales have crossed the 50 million threshold, thanks in part to what Sony calls the "best ever Black Friday week in the history of PlayStation." That number includes sales of the freshly-released PlayStation 4 Pro, though at this early point in the console's life, PS4 Pro likely didn't contribute much to the overall tally of 50 million.

There are still plenty of questions surrounding Nintendo's Switch, but one by one, Nintendo seems to be knocking them out.
