Samsung insists leaked roadmap "not accurate"

Samsung has attempted to pour cold water onto a rumored smartphone and tablet roadmap leak earlier this week, suggesting that "the details being cited are not accurate in this case." The supposed product line-up, emerging from a Lithuanian retailer and since pulled offline, included such gems as a 4.65-inch 1280 x 720 resolution GT-I9250 handset running Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and a 7-inch Honeycomb Galaxy Tab.

"Some media have been reporting that Samsung is preparing to launch nine new smartphones and two new tablet devices" the company posted on its official blog. "While Samsung is continuously working on new devices for our customers, the details being cited are not accurate in this case. We appreciate the interest in our upcoming mobile devices and will share more information once its available."

Nonetheless, a new tablet is tentatively expected at IFA 2011 in around two weeks time. The new model – tipped to be a 7-inch replacement to the original Galaxy Tab, itself announced at last-year's IFA – was seemingly spotted at the Samsung Developer Center, though beyond a 1280 x 768 display full details of the so-called SHV-E120s have not been confirmed.
