Galaxy Note 8 release date outed in new leak

Tomorrow is the big day for the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung is set to take the stage in New York tomorrow and reveal its new phablet flagship, and it's then that all of the rumors can be laid to rest and we'll find out some facts once and for all. Before that can happen, though, we have a new last-minute leak that's telling us when the Galaxy Note 8 will actually release.

Though many rumors have claimed that Samsung will open up pre-orders on the day after its Unpacked event, the rumor mill is a little less confident when it comes to the Note 8's release date. Italian site Android World has managed to gets its hands on a retail pre-order flier that gives us a lot of new information about the phone. The biggest detail, of course, is the implied release date.

Though the flier doesn't state the Galaxy Note 8's release date specifically, it does note that pre-orders will end on September 14. The assumption here is that the phone will launch on the next day, which would be – you guessed it! – September 15. While this flier comes from an Italian retailer, it stands to reason that the US will have a similar pre-order period and release date, if not one that's even slightly earlier.

The flier also says that folks who pre-order the Galaxy Note 7 can get a free DeX Station, with a limit of two per customer. This pre-order bonus isn't one to stick your nose up at, as the DeX Station costs quite a bit of money. With a price tag that clocks in at $149.99, this is definitely an excellent pre-order deal.

Whether or not the US will see a similar pre-order offer remains to be seen. Expect some kind of bonus when it comes to Note 8 pre-orders, though, as Samsung often uses those to its advantage. As always, take this with a grain of salt, because not only has this not been confirmed yet, but it's also for a region outside the US. Though the chances are admittedly small, the US launch of the Galaxy Note 8 could end up looking quite a bit different from its launch in Italy.

The good news is that we don't have very long to wait for official details to begin rolling out. Samsung's press event tomorrow should tell us everything we need to know about the Galaxy Note 8. We'll be covering the event as it happens, so keep it here at SlashGear for more.
