Dodge confirms 707hp 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody price

Dodge has revealed the sticker price for the 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, and when it comes to affordable excesses of horsepower there's very little competition. Announced earlier this year, the fiercest version of the four-door sedan supplies 707 horsepower but at a fraction of the price of a supercar.

You can expect supercar performance from it, too. The 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody dos 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, Dodge says, despite having room for five inside. The quarter-mile takes just 10.96 seconds, and the widened sedan will keep on going to a heady 196 miles per hour.

The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 is to thank for that, bringing 650 lb-ft of torque to the table as well. For 2020, the Widebody package comes as standard, with 3.5-inches of extra width courtesy of fender flares. They're filled by 20-inch by 11-inch Carbon Black forged wheels, shod in Pirelli 305/35ZR20 rubber.

Dodge then throws in SRT-tuned Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping and suspension tuning, with different settings for the street, the strip, and road courses. Electric power steering has been added, also customizable in feel through the SRT Performance Pages accessed via the infotainment system. It should make the car a little easier to maneuver at lower speeds, while still delivering feel when you're pushing hard.

At the front, there's a new fascia with a mail-slot grille design: it's functional, too, offering what Dodge describes as the most direct route for cooling air to hit the radiator. Inside, there's a Carbon & Suede Interior Package and new panel badging.

All that drops for $69,645 (plus $1,495 destination) which is, frankly, a ridiculously small amount of money for the sort of power on tap. If you want even more, meanwhile, there's a 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition. That comes in at $74,140 plus destination, and squeezes out 717 horsepower at 6,100 rpm.

Only 501 of the Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition cars will be made, each with a unique deckled and rear-quarter decal, plus a matching spoiler. There'll be four color options – B5 Blue, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel, and White Knuckle – with the blue an exclusive finish.

2020 Charger Scat Pack Widebody

If the Hellcat is a little too rich for your blood, Dodge has some more tempered options too. The 2020 Charger Scat Pack Widebody brings the widened style to the Scat Pack for the first time, pairing the 3.5-inches of extra width with a naturally-aspirated HEMI V8 good for 485 horsepower. A TorqueFlite 8HP70 eight-speed transmission is standard.

20-inch by 11-inch Devil's Rim split-five spoke wheels and Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires are standard. Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping is included too, just like on the Hellcat, as is electric power steering, modified springs, sway bars, and shocks, and a larger rear sway bar.

0-60 mph comes in 4.3 seconds, and the quarter-mile in 12.4 seconds. Versus the old, non-Widebody Charger Scat Pack, Dodge says this new version finishes 1.3 seconds faster on a 2.1 mile road course. That's the equivalent of eight car lengths per lap. Not bad for $45,995 (plus destination.)
