Apple Magic Keyboard, Mouse 2, Trackpad 2 found in OS X code

As Apple continues to release beta versions of the upcoming OS X 10.11.1 build to developers, the latest version has contained some hints of new keyboard, mouse, and trackpad accessories. French website Consomac has discovered configuration files that make specific mentions of a Magic Trackpad 2, a Magic Mouse 2, and a Magic Keyboard. Assuming these are products nearing release, it seems most likely they will be announced alongside the new 4K 21.5-inch iMac, rumored to debut next week.

Seeing as how Apple's new Force Touch technology was introduced earlier this year in the trackpads on the MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops, followed by the similar 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s, it seems likely the new Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad will incorporate it was well somehow.

Previous FCC filings have indicated that a new mouse and wireless keyboard were on the way from Apple, featuring integrated rechargeable batteries and support for Bluetooth Low Energy. This new Magic Mouse 2 is likely the same device, and while not mentioned in the FCC documents, the Magic Trackpad 2 will probably have the same features.

The only true unknown at this point is what would be new about the keyboard. There's been mentions of new designs or hardware changes, so the "Magic" moniker could just be to bring it in line with the other Apple accessories, as well as highlight the integrated battery.
