Windows Phone 7 gaming detailed: all EA WP7 games getting Xbox LIVE

Microsoft aren't stupid: they know Xbox LIVE could play a key role in bringing in Windows Phone 7 users, and so they're making the most of the online gaming functionality in the new smartphone OS.  Freshly announced today is the first wave of EA games that will arrive on Windows Phone 7 this fall, including Need for Speed Undercover.

As well as that there's Tetris and The Sims 3, in a portfolio from EA described as "something for every mobile gamer, from casual to core".  Those three titles will join the existing games already announced earlier in the year.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has also confirmed that all EA games for Windows Phone 7 will be Xbox LIVE enabled, meaning gamers will be able to share their scores, track other players' achievements and – in compatible titles – integrate with their full counterparts on the Xbox 360.
