Vita TV heading to US, dubbed PlayStation TV

Remember the PS Vita TV Sony launched in Japan? There was high demand for the tiny console, so much so that by September of last year the maker was considering launching the device in the United States and Europe, as well. That dream has come true, with Sony revealing at E3 today that it'll arrive in the US this fall.

In addition to the US, the Vita TV — which will be renamed to the PlayStation TV in the new markets — the device will also be heading to European markets and Canada. The PlayStation TV, as we've previously detailed, gives users access to PlayStation Now games.

For this reason, the PlayStation TV will be offered as part of a bundle that includes the DualShock 3 controller, a handy HDMI cable, and an 8GB storage card. For those not interested in the bundle, the device will also be offered on its own for $99 USD.
