Star Wars 7 cast expands with Gwendoline Christie and Lupita Nyong'o

It's time to bring some Tarth to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. The cast for Star Wars, Episode 7 has expanded to include two new stars this morning, including Lupita Nyong'o of 12 Years a Slave fame and Gwendoline Christie from Game of Thrones.

You may recognize Lupita Nyong'o from the Academy Awards this year as she won Best Supporting Actress – if you didn't see her in 12 Years a Slave, that is to say. At this time it is not known what role Lupita Nyong'o will play in the upcoming film.

Gwendoline Christie can be seen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, but is best known for her role as Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones. In Game of Thrones, Christie plays the world's only known female knight, taking to battle with a ferocity only otherwise seen in her male counterparts. Here in Star Wars she's sure to take command in a role at the head of whatever faction she fights with, be it good or evil.
