LG Nexus 5 rumor points to October launch

Only a few days ago some images of the LG Nexus 5 smartphone leaked. The pictures were apparently taken in a random bar somewhere. Some new details have surfaced concerning the LG Nexus 5 today that hints at a launch date next month.

Late last week rumors were circulating that the reveal date for the smartphone would be October 14. That same October 14 date has now been seconded by another source known to be reasonably accurate. It doesn't take much imagination to conclude the LG Nexus 5 could be one of the flagship devices for the launch of Android 4.4 KitKat.

The source tipping the October 14 reveal date this time out is DigiTimes. The publication is accurate about half the time when it comes to rumors such as this. That means we won't exactly call this confirmed, but there's a good chance come mid-October we will be seeing all the official details for the smartphone.

Google and LG are also tipped as "likely to partner" together again for the Nexus 5. That's not exactly a prophecy considering how many times the device has surfaced in photographs already. Rumors continue to point to the Nexus 5 featuring a five-inch full HD resolution display, four core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 4G LTE capability, and Android 4.4 for the operating system.
