Jurassic World Alive APK download live (Pokemon GO for dinosaurs)

Today Jurassic World Alive went live – and it seems like it doesn't matter who you are, you can play. This game was made much in the same way the game Pokemon GO came about. It's based on Google Maps, using the smartphone of the user as an avatar to move around the world – and capture Dino DNA.

The game is LIVE right this minute, but you can't just go into the Google Play app store and tap download. Unless you're reading this from the future – then, by all means, head in and download away. The same goes for Apple's App Store where the iOS version is housed. Click in and see!

If, however, it's not long after this article went live, you might need to head over to APK Mirror if you're an Android device user. TAKE HEED though, when you head there you take your destiny in to your own hands. SlashGear is not responsible for any action you take before, during, or after reading this article, especially when it pertains to your phone's health!

Once you've got the app, dive right in. This app starts in much like Pokemon GO, teaching you how to tap dinosaurs around you and "capture" them. Instead of Pokeballs here, you're using a drone. The drone shoots darts at the dinosaur, and the darts steal a little DNA.

If you're real good at aiming, you'll get a lot of DNA. If you're terrible, you might get no DNA at all! And you need that DNA to clone dinosaurs, of course, so you're gonna want to get as much DNA as possible. You need DNA to evolve dinosaurs, too – that's called Stardust in Pokemon GO.

Above you'll see how you'll be spending your money on this game. It might be too IN YOUR FACE for some gamers. I'm... not sure yet. When this popped up, it reminded me of how I felt when Pokemon GO betrayed me. It wasn't pretty. Outside of that, the game looks pretty great.

When I first saw screenshots for this game, I thought: SAME THING (same as Pokemon GO). As it actually turns out, they only really look the same. In some very blatant ways – ways that Google isn't trying to hide. This game is CLEARLY made to take advantage of the massive number of people out in the wild that've already played Pokemon GO. Similar graphics, and such.

Let us know if you're trying this game right out the gate. Which dinosaurs are you making first? Did you drop a few drone darts at a dinosaur you didn't expect to find? Are you learning more about the Jurassic World universe of dinosaurs every day? Remember, this isn't really how science works – it's all just a game!
