Huawei P20 Pro detail round-up just before the event

For the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro we've been watching the rumor mill for weeks, and today we're having a peek at the details. The round-up you're about to see captures both the Huawei P20 and the Huawei P20 Pro, both of these smartphones the high-end beasts Huawei wishes the world to behold. Both of these devices will quite likely be revealed tomorrow at the Huawei event in Paris at 1PM GMT (Tuesday, the 26th of March.)

The Huawei P20 Pro will come in a new color – Twilight. That's a sort of mood-ring color situation that changes color dependent on the viewer's viewing angle. That's the coolest part about this phone from a purely aesthetic angle – on the outside, that is. Inside, there's power, so much power.

The Huawei P20 Pro is said to roll with a 40-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel camera on its back, both alongside a THIRD camera that captures images in monochrome. This camera setup will likely allow 3x optical zoom and 5x magnification in all. This camera setup will probably roll with a dual-LED dual-tone flash, laser autofocus, phase detection, and Leica optics.

Android in the Pro is said to be Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1. The Pro is rumored to have a 6.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 1080 x 2240 pixels. This device likely has a Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor inside with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. There'll be a microSD card slot with the ability to carry an additional 256GB storage.

Up front on the Huawei P20 Pro is said to be a 24-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 and 1080p video abilities. That's one massive selfie-taker. There'll quite likely be a front-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 4000mAh battery inside. This smartphone will use USB-C.

The Huawei P20 (non-pro) is very similar to the Pro, but comes in a slightly smaller size and has only 2 cameras at its back. Huawei P20 is likely coming with a 5.84-inch LTPS IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2280 pixels. Inside we'll likely find Android 8.1 Oreo and EMUI 8.1 running on a Huawei Kirin 970 processor – same as the Pro.

Inside there'll probably be 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There'll also probably be a microSD card slot capable of carrying 256GB more data. The battery inside this device is likely set for the 3400mAh range, and the backside will have a set of two cameras. How pitiful, just two!

The cameras on the P20 are likely 20-megapixel and 12-megapixels large, both with f/1.7. That camera setup almost certainly has a dual-LED dual-tone flash, laser autofocus, phase detection, 2x lossless zoom, and Leica optics.

The Huawei P20 Pro is rumored to cost around 899-Euro right out the box. That's the Pro with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The regular Huawei P20 is said to cost around 649-Euro with 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Stick around as we check the print tomorrow at the big event. That event takes place in Paris and 1PM GMT, which is 8AM Central Time, 9AM Eastern Time, 6AM Pacific Time. Don't miss it! Even if you have to get up at the crack of dawn!
