HTC Touch.B - aka HTC Rome - leaks

Live shots of a new HTC smartphone have leaked, supposedly the quietly rumored HTC Rome.  The HTC Touch.B has a daftly punctuated name and runs Android, according to MobiFrance, and looks very much like the Windows Mobile powered HTC Touch2.

Unfortunately that's all we know in terms of specifications, but we're tempted to think that this is some sort of refashioned HTC Tattoo – the company's entry-level Android phone – rather than a completely new design.  HTC have also agreed to standardize on microUSB connectors, as evidenced by the HTC HD2, and so the presence of the company's own proprietary ExtUSB connection on the Touch.B suggests that underneath it's an older device.

Still, there won't be long to wait; according to MobiFrance there'll be more news tomorrow, together with some specifications.  We're not expecting anything earth-shattering, to be honest, but we'd be happy to be surprised.
