HTC 4G LTE smartphone teaser revealed: HTC Incredible HD on Jan 6 2011?

A new teaser site seemingly for HTC’s upcoming 4G LTE smartphone for Verizon has emerged, though there’s little more detail than the slogan “The first to 4G, again”. Listing the HTC EVO 4G for Sprint and the HSPA+ compliant T-Mobile G2 as past glories, the page allows you to sign up for more information on January 6 2011.

That certainly fits in with the previous talk from Verizon about their first LTE handset range being launched at CES 2011 in January. The smartphone itself, the HTC Incredible HD – aka the HTC Mecha – is expected to run Android; it’s believed either Verizon or HTC attempted to organize a ham-fisted leak campaign earlier this week.

Unfortunately, a quick WHOIS search doesn’t list HTC as the owner; instead, it’s registered to an Australian marketing company. Text message updates – of which there’ll apparently be two in all – are sent by Yahoo!
