Here come the PowerShots: N2, G7 X, SX60 HS

Three new PowerShot cameras are coming soon from Canon, the lot of which works with unique features made to advance the point-and-shoot universe – even as their competition hits the smartphone environment. The PowerShot N2 works with a flip-up touch panel and NFC. The G7 X works with a one-in sensor. The SX60 HS has a cool 65x Optical Zoom lens as well as a broad focal length: 21mm-1365mm.

Canon PowerShot N2

The N2 works with a 16.1 megapixel CMOS image sensor and DIGIC 6 Image processor as well as a 8x Optical Zoom lens (equivalent to 28-224mm). This device's 180-degree tilt 2.8-inch LCD screen works with "self portrait mode".

This is the second generation of the PowerShot N, now working with an all-round release instead of the "top or bottom" shutter ring delivered with the original. The PowerShot N2 works with Smart Auto Mode with 58 different pre-defined photo scenes and 21 pre-defined video scenes as well. This device will be delivered for $299.99 in December of 2014 in the USA.

Canon PowerShot G7 X

The G7 X works with a one-inch 20.2-megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor as well as a Canon DIGIC 6 Image Processor. With an ISO range of 125 – 12,800, this camera also rolls with 4.2x optical zoom ratio (equivalent to 24-100mm) and an aperture range of f/1.8 to f/2.8 from wide to telephoto.

This device works with NFC and Wi-Fi for wireless pairing and image sharing. You'll be able to capture video at 1080/60p, and the camera has an HDMI port so you can output video (or photos) to your HDTV.

This device will be delivered to the market in the USA in October for a cool $699.99 USD.

Canon PowerShot SX60

With the Canon PowerShot SX60 16.1 megapixel CMOS image sensor and a Canon DIGIC 6 Image processor under the hood. This unit also employs 65x optical zoom (equivalent to 21-1365mm) and Optical Image Stabilization as well as 1080/60p Full HD video recording.

The PowerShot SX60 also works with Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC for pairing. Canon's Tracking AF and Face Detection work to capture moving objects while a 3-inch Vari-Angle LCD screen along the back of this unit lets you shoot from any direction.

The PowerShot SX60 HS digital camera will be headed to market in October. You'll be able to pick it up for an estimated retail price of $549.99 USD.
