Galaxy Note 7 part leak confirms Samsung's secret weapon

The front panel of the Galaxy Note 7 has leaked in a single photo which confirms several details about the upcoming handset. This device is coming in black – we could have guessed that bit. This device also has a physical home button, as all Galaxy devices have since the beginning. The feature inclusion we'd known from insider sources previously and can confirm further today is in the array of circles near the top of the device's front here.

It was only very recently that the iris scanner was suggested to be coming to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Previous rumors suggested that it would be coming to the Galaxy Note 4, then that it was axed due to it being too early to launch. Fast forward to last year and we began to hear, once again, that Samsung would include such a scanner in their handset lineup.

It may have been too early, still, to include this feature on the Galaxy S7, but the time seems ripe enough now – Note time. The Galaxy Note 7, as it'll be called, skipping the "6" nomenclature, will have more than your average amount of scanners and cameras up front.

The image you see above shows quite a few spaces where sensors or cameras will be able to "see" the world around them. This image comes from Android Authority, sent to them by the leakster OnLeaks. Of these many cameras and sensors appearing, we can account for several.

Just yesterday we ran down the details of the iris scanner on which Samsung will be relying in the very near future for a new source of security for handsets, starting with the Galaxy Note 7.
