Droid Turbo 2 teaser says the device drops soon

Verizon is teasing a new device that will be dropping soon via Twitter. The video is the latest tease of the Droid Turbo 2 smartphone that has already been leaked a few times. The new video offers no real details; it just teases "the perfect phone for imperfect people" and shows the smartphone slowly dropping to the concrete.

The video ends with "The new Droid is dropping soon" using a play on words to highlight the rugged nature of the device. Leaked Verizon marketing material highlighted the "shatterproof" screen of the Droid Turbo 2.

The smartphone will also support Moto Maker allowing the user to customize the looks of the device to suit their style. The leaked Verizon material says that when you purchase a 64GB Droid Turbo 2, you can choose one "design refresh" otherwise known as a back cover at no cost.

There will be over 1,000 possible color combinations ranging from ballistic nylon to leather. The leaks tip that the Droid Turbo 2 will have a 5.5-inch screen, Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3GB of RAM, a big 3760 mAh battery, and a 21MP rear camera with a 5MP front unit. Launch is tipped for October 29 and the smartphone might land as the Moto X Force in other countries.
