Canon PowerShot Elph compact cameras shoot 720p HD video
Canon has rolled out several new digital cameras today and among them are three new compact Elph cameras. The new cameras include the Canon PowerShot Elph 150 IS, 140 IS, and 135. Canon promises that all three of the cameras will capture high-quality images and 720p resolution video.
All three of the new cameras use the DIGIC 4+ image processor and all have a dedicated movie button. The movie mode allows the compact and pocketable cameras to record HD video in 720p resolution. The cameras all have a number of automatic shooting modes with Smart Auto mode.
The cameras also have an Eco mode to help reduce battery consumption by dimming or turning off the LCD on the back. The Elph 150 IS has 10x optical zoom and 20MP resolution. It also has intelligent image stabilization to reduce blur in images. The Elph 150 IS will land in February for $149.99.
The Elph 140 IS has 8x optical zoom lens and 16MP resolution. It has intelligent IS to make taking clear images easy. It will land this month for $129.99. The final camera is the Elph 135 with 8x optical zoom and 16MP resolution. It gets no image stabilization and will land this month for $119.99.
