Boxee is on a roll this week, with Tuesday’s iPad app launch followed by the addition of Grooveshark streaming music support today. Functioning in a similar manner to Spotify, last.fm and others, Grooveshark has a catalog of tracks to choose from, and which can now be browsed and queued up via the Boxee interface.
Existing playlists on the service can be accessed from Boxee, and those created on your HTPC can also be played on mobile devices and your PC. There are public playlists and charts, too, if you’re feeling short on inspiration.
Grooveshark costs $9 per month after the free trial, which covers not only Boxee access but streaming music to your phone. Apps are available for Android, webOS, Symbian and BlackBerry, as well as jailbroken iOS devices.
