BombSquad for Android Review

It’s time to get busy with the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet and some super strange and super awesome fight game action with BombSquad. This game is all about you, the tiny little fighter, running around a variety of battlegrounds with intent on destruction. It’s radical.

What you’re seeing here is a demonstration of the game played with the NVIDIA SHIELD Wireless Controller. Using the NVIDIA GamePad mapping software built in with the SHIELD Tablet, we were able to map the buttons and joysticks of the controller to the on-screen controls of the game.

You can still play with the onscreen controls if you like, but if you’ve got an NVIDIA-made Wireless Controller, go the GamePad mapping route. We’ve uploaded a map for this game that works like a charm – go download it.

While this game is able to be played by quite a few different Android devices, the NVIDIA Tegra K1 inside the SHIELD Tablet makes for what they describe as “50% more detail and debris in explosions, energy shields, and other effects.” It just looks a whole lot more neat.

The game is free, there are in-game purchases, and it’s all very beautiful. BombSquad is one of the most entertaining and unique games we’ve ever played on Android. Have at it!
