Blu Studio G takes on the budget range: 4G, Lollipop and more

Blu has blatantly taken on the Moto G with its new Studio G smartphone, a handset that has a design greatly resembling the aforementioned Motorola phone while tossing in a price tag that undercuts it just a tad. As with other Blu smartphones (including the others recently introduced at CES), the Blu Studio G is sold unlocked and targets those aren't concerned about toting around any particular brand name or carrier's handset. The phone is set to arrive the end of this month on Amazon, and will be priced at $89 USD when it does.

The Studio G notably offers 4G HSPA+ speeds, which helps it stand out among other budget phones in its price range. There's a 5-inch 200ppi IPS display alongside a 1.3GHz quad-core processor of unknown sorts. This is complemented by a 5-megapixel rear camera.

The phone will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat and will be upgradeable to Android Lollipop. In addition to the rear camera, there's a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n, a hotspot feature, GPS, FM Radio, and a micro SD card slot.

Other hardware includes 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM, as well as a micro SD card slot that supports up to 64GB capacities. The battery is a 2000mAh offering, and the phone will be available in Gold, Black, White and Pink.
