ZTE Warp Sync brings the mid-range to Boost Mobile

ZTE's newest smartphone is a budget-centric offering boasting mid-range specs, not the least of which is a 5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass. The phone is launching through Boost Mobile in the United States, being priced at $180 USD. The phone's availability kicked off today.

The Warp Sync is the maker's fourth handset in its Warp series of smartphones, all of them aiming to meet a happy middle point between high-enough specifications and modest pricing. The Warp Sync has a few bragging points, and is available with both 4G LTE and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz quad-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There's no mention of an expansion slot for additional memory, but other features include Dolby Digital Plus Audio and a removable 2300mAh battery.

Around back is an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash, and joining it is a 1.6-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and chat sessions and such. Boost Mobile customers will no doubt be happy to hear the Warp Sync is ZTE's first handset that supports the carrier's Enhanced LTE network.
