Xbox One price slashed for UK alongside Titanfall

Microsoft has cut the price of the Xbox One, bringing the console down to £399.99 in the UK as of the end of this month. The new price leaves the Xbox One just £50 more than the PlayStation 4 in the UK, and will be timed alongside the launch of hotly-anticipated game Titanfall which saw a wildly popular beta earlier this month.

The deal will also apply to the limited-edition UK version of the Titanfall bundle, which Microsoft also announced today. That will include the Xbox One console and a Kinect sensor, a single wireless controller, and a headset, along with a month's service to Xbox Live Gold.

Most importantly, though, there'll be a download code for Titanfall in the box. Microsoft says the bundle will be limited in availability, but the price cut for the Xbox One in the UK will be permanent.

The change in price for the UK Xbox One will kick in on February 28th. Meanwhile, the Titanfall bundle will be released on March 14th in the UK, with preorders from today.

There's no word on any upcoming cut for Xbox One in other regions such as the US, where the Titanfall bundle will be priced at $499.99.
