WITECH have announced the Multi-I USB video card, offering two VGA connections from a single USB hook-up to your PC or Mac. Based on DisplayLink technology, it can drive two new monitors at up to 1400 x 1050 resolution, together with offering the ability to daisy-chain further Multi-I units.
Ports on the Multi-I include one USB-B to hook up to your computer, an AC adapter input to power the external video card, two standard D-sub VGA ports for the screens themselves and two USB-A ports to daisy-chain more Multi-I adapters. For a standard laptop, then, you could easily set up four displays – the laptop’s own LCD, one display from its own video output, plus two more from the Multi-I.
WITECH also make a single-output version, but where’s the fun in that, eh? The Multi-I retails for 170,000 Korean won ($115).
