The HTC ThunderBolt may not be shipping quite yet, but retailer Wirefly has already gotten its hands on at least one unit and shared the initial ownership experience with us. Among the first 4G LTE smartphones headed for Verizon’s network, the ThunderBolt packs similar specs to the HTC EVO 4G.

That includes a sizable 4.3-inch touchscreen, and cameras on both the front and rear of the handset. There’s also Android 2.2.1 Froyo, 40GB of onboard storage and of course LTE for high-speed data connectivity (though voice calls still use 3G). Still, no sign of a specific launch date at this stage; Wirefly only say it’ll be coming soon.
