Twilight Princess HD trailer confirms amiibo functionality

There’s been a lot of information flying around about the changes coming to Zelda’s Twilight Princess HD release for the Wii U. Specifically, there has been talk about a new dungeon, and amiibo capabilities. Well an official trailer released by Nintendo should clear things up considerably.

While we’ve gotten reports from an Amazon listing, and even a Famitsu article, nothing beats getting the information straight from the source. It looks like all of the info we’ve gotten over the last couple of weeks has been pretty spot-on, except for one minor detail. Take a look.

The only thing that is different from the reports we previously had is the name of the new dungeon. The Amazon listing had it pegged as “The Twilight Cave” and the Famitsu piece had it named “Thorough Battle: Trial of the Beast.” But we now know that it is simply known as “The Cave of Shadows.”

If you want to re-live Twilight Princess in stunning HD, then you’ll be able to pick it up for the Wii U starting on March 4th.
