Tony Soprano's Escalade heads to auction

Fans of the ended HBO series The Sopranos who happen to be in the market for a big SUV will want to check this out. The Cadillac Escalade that Tony drove in the series is going up for auction at RR Auction in Boston. The SUV is expected to bring between $30,000 and $50,000 when the gavel falls.

This particular car was originally leased to HBO by Movie Time Cars and was the personal vehicle used in the show for Tony. It was seen in a large number of scenes as the show went on over the years. Interestingly, this vehicle was apparently used in an episode in season 5 where it was crashed up, I wonder if that will show up on Carfax.

Just having been used in the series on cameras isn't all that is special about this car. James Gandolfini signed the airbag cover with his name and the sun visor reads, "Thanks for the truck, James Gandolfini."

The truck is a 2003 year model and the expected price certainly carries a premium due to the provenance. There is no indication of exactly how many miles are on the car or exactly what sort of condition it is in.
