T-Mobile offers unlocked Pixel credit, one ups Verizon

T-Mobile has decided to one up Verizon: bring an unlocked Pixel handset to the Uncarrier, and you'll get a $325 credit automatically. This is in comparison to Verizon, which is offering up to a $300 credit to those who get the Pixel. The catch here is that you have to sign up for T-Mobile ONE, the carrier's 'unlimited everything' plan, which may not be a big deal for most converts. Speaking about this, CEO John Legere said, "I'm a huge fan of what Google has done with the Pixel..."

In all honestly, the deal is a pretty great one and hard to pass up, assuming you don't mind being on T-Mobile's network. Those who buy an unlocked Pixel phone and send their proof of purchase to the Uncarrier will get an automatic $13.55/month credit for the duration of 24 months. This adds up to $325, or half the cost of the 32GB Google Pixel.

Of course, the credit is structured in such a way that you'll have to stick with T-Mobile for at least two years to get the full benefit, so keep that in mind when making your decision. You can validate the Pixel purchase here.

In order to do this, you'll need to sign up for T-Mobile One, as well. Under that, you'll get unlimited text, talk and 4G LTE. Keep in mind that your speeds may be reduced if you fall into one of the top 3% of users, however, defined as those who use more than 26GB a month. The plan is $70/month for one line, with an extra $20/month getting you unlimited tablet data, and $5/month getting you unlimited wearables data.
