Subaru Series.Gray WRX and WRX STI unveiled at Boxerfest

Subaru talked a bit about the limited-edition Series.Gray WRX and WRX STI models when it announced the official pricing for all WRX models last month. We didn't have any images or much in the way of details on these limited-edition rides at that time. Subaru has given up all the details of the Series.Gray cars at Boxerfest in Washington D.C.

What we already knew of availability was confirmed again, there will be 750 Series.Gray WRX and 250 WRX STI cars offered with both landing at dealers this fall. The WRX version is offered with a 6-speed manual only and has exclusive crystal black silica badging. The car is based on WRX Premium and has the Performance Packaged with Ultrasuede-trimmed Recaro seats, 8-way power driver's seat, JURID front brake pads, and a moonroof delete.

The car also gets LED Steering Responsive headlights, LED fog lights, keyless access with push-button start for a price of $32,595. The WRX STI version is in the same cool gray khaki color with crystal black silica badges and 19-inch wheels. It has Brembo brakes and Ultrasuede trimmed Recaros with carbon black leather bolsters.

WRX STI Series.Gray buyers get unique Bilstein STI sport-tuned suspension. The Recaro seats have 8-way power driver adjustments and keyless access with push-button start. The WRX STI Series.Gray is priced at $39,695.

Subaru has said that the sunroof delete on the normal WRX is for weight savings. The real question for fans wanting one of these limited-edition rides is what sort of dealer markups will be applied.
